When it comes to farm-to-table cooking, chef Jennilee Morris literally walks the walk — right down the street to Deep Roots Farm, where she shops for (and in some cases actually harvests) sweet potatoes, leeks, garlic and onions to use in her Thanksgiving menu.



We can’t speak more highly about the Grace and Grit team. From start to finish, they helped us create a flawless experience for our wedding day. We had high expectations but Grace and Grit exceeded them at every turn - from the perfectly tailored October seasonal menu, to the detailed (but not overwhelming) planning along the way. Steph, Sam, Joe and Chef Jenni delivered on the big day and we just couldn’t have done it without them. Each dish was unique and delicious, and our guests raved about the food, drinks and service. ​We worked with Grace & Grit for our afternoon Christmas Open House. As soon as I contacted G&G, Kelsey set up a meeting and was super helpful discussing the menu and reviewing details.  A few emails and we had a plan. The morning of the party, Kelsey arrived with Cerria and Kelly to make sure everything was perfect. As guests arrived through out the day, the G&G staff was right on it. Passed hors d’oeuvres were delicious and plentiful all day.  Tuna tartare and the salmon were real crowd pleasers and my favorites. Platters were strategically placed through out our home and were simply beautiful. Perfect festive party. Grace & Grit staff is attentive, professional and pleasant.  Our home was spotless by the time Grace & Grit left.  I also must comment on the ease of payment for the party - simple and no issues at all. We have never worked with a caterer like Grace & Grit. I highly recommend, if you’d like a worry free party!  We will certainly be working with them again. Big hug and thank you to Grace & Grit!

"We just wanted you to know how terrific the Grace & Grit catering services were last evening at Macari. Our guests have not stopped raving about the various hors d'oeuvres, especially the yukon potatoes, tuna tartar, & assorted cheeses. The main courses were equally as tasty and the Britts declared the Eton Mess perfect!

"I was planning a simple barbecue for about 60 guests to celebrate my wife's birthday.
Then I met Jennilee, Stephanie, and Kim. Their creative ideas blew me away.
Being the realist I am, I never thought they could meet the expectations they created.
These talented women and their support staff far surpassed the wonderful picture they described. You would have thought this was a wedding. The lobster sliders were delicious as were the fish tacos and the many other passed dishes during the first few hours of casual cocktails and tapas. 
Guests were coming up for seconds and thirds of the assorted main dishes.
The night was topped off with freshly ground and brewed coffees as well as espresso and a assortment of fragrant teas. They left the kitchen spotless.Grace and Grit is far and away one of the best catering teams I've every experienced. I can't wait to do it again."

"Dear Grace and Grit,

We could not have been happier with our decision to have Grace and Grit as the caterer for our wedding.  Stephanie was such a tremendous help during the planning process.  We especially needed guidance as we were hosting the wedding at our home on Shelter Island.  Stephanie walked us through the process of renting everything we needed (from the kitchen equipment, to tables, to table settings), organizing the layout of venue space, and choosing vendors.
The day of our event, Grace and Grit's staff arrived at our home and transformed our lawn into the perfect wedding venue.  They accommodated all of our special requests, including using family and vintage china we collected, napkins we sewed, and other special touches.  
Despite the fact that one of our rented ovens was not working, Jenni and her staff worked miracles and the food came out just perfect.  We were complete unaware of any issues in the kitchen tent.  The chefs and wait staff served a delicious and flawless meal.  We are very proud to say that this was not typical wedding food.  Our guests were raving about all the dishes, especially the beef tenderloin.  
Stephanie's professionalism in handling any problems that arose during the wedding was more than we expected from a catering company.  She and Jenni worked as a perfect team.  
We found Grace and Grit online. After a tasting at the North Fork Roasting Company, we were sold on their delicious food.  After they executed a reception for us that far exceeded our expectations, we know we made the absolute right choice. 
We could not recommend them more highly.  Thank you, Stephanie and Jenni, for all of the hard work that went into making our wedding celebration better than we could have imagined."

Grace and grit catered our wedding at breeze hill farm in June. People are still talking about the incredible service and absolutely delicious food. The bartenders were awesome and easily able to handle the 160 guests. The waitstaff made sure my husband and I didn't miss anything, including the pig roast. Hands down some of the best food i've ever eaten. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
